how to say "era" in Hebrew...



The headlines (well, at least one) today in Israel are reading, The end of the Mubarak Era - סוֹף עִדָּן מוּבָּארַק (sohf ee-DAHN moo-BAH-rahk), as the Egyptian president has announced to his people that he will be stepping down from his 30-year reign.






The word עידן means era. It's also a fairly common name among Israeli boys and men, such as עידן רַייכֶל - Idan Raichel, whose music I'll be playing today on my weekly internet radio show
